Khaberni - A woman living in the area of "Tel Aviv" experienced moments of terror on Friday when she woke up at dawn and discovered an intruder on her bed, according to the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth".
Over the span of several minutes, the thief messed around in the apartment, threatened the owner with a knife, spat on her, and committed a sexual act by himself while the woman managed to call for help.
The woman recounted that she woke up to the sound of noise in the apartment and saw the accused over her, after which she managed to flee to the bathroom and tried to lock herself in, but he blocked the door with his semi-naked body, pressed a knife he had taken from the kitchen against her, and began to perform an indecent sexual act by himself in front of her.
The police who arrived at the scene arrested the suspect, Angosom Kidane (38 years old), a foreigner who has been living in Israel for over a decade, with a criminal history of violent and sexual crimes. The court extended his arrest by four days.
During the extension of the arrest hearing, a police representative described the suspect as violent and dangerous, having been convicted in 2014 of assaulting his partner and having sexual intercourse without consent, for which he served a four-year prison sentence. He also said that in the current case, in addition to the break-in and sexual assault, he caused significant damage to the property in the apartment, and subsequently also caused disturbances at the police station and in the detention center.
The lawyer appointed to him pointed out that he had met Kidane after the arrest but was unable to communicate with him or get relevant details, as the suspect was "speaking incoherently".
The judge decided there was a reasonable and significant suspicion against Kidane for committing serious crimes including an indecent act under threat, break-in, and obstruction of justice. It was concluded that his behavior indicates an undeniable danger, and based on this, his arrest would be extended.
