AlAhli Saudi Crowned the AFC Champions League Elite Title for the Second Time

Khaberni - Al-Ahli Saudi retained the AFC Champions League Elite title after defeating Machida Zelvia of Japan in the final match held on Saturday.

Al-Ahli met Machida Zelvia at Al-Enma Stadium in Jeddah, in the final of the AFC Champions League Elite, the second edition of the major Asian club championships with its new system that started last year.

Al-Ahli won against Machida with a goal without reply, scored by their star Firas Al-Buraikan in the 96th minute, after a silky cross from Riyad Mahrez which Frank Kessie set up in front of the Saudi star who powerfully shot it into the net.

This goal ensured the Jeddah giant retained the AFC Champions League Elite title for another year, after managing to win the championship in its first edition, as the first continental championship in its history.


Al-Ahli was crowned the AFC Champions League Elite 2025 by defeating Kawasaki Frontale of Japan with two goals to none in the final, marking its name among the champions for the first time.
