Khaberni - President Donald Trump said on Saturday that canceling the sending of American negotiators to Pakistan does not mean the resumption of the war with Iran, confirming that Washington "has not thought about it yet", at a time when Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi left Islamabad after talks with senior Pakistani officials.
Trump added, in statements to "Axios", that sending an American delegation to conduct negotiations with Tehran is "pointless" given the current state of the negotiations, saying: "I see no point in sending them on an 18-hour trip in the current situation. It's very long. We can do it over the phone with the same efficiency, Iranians can contact us if they want, we will not travel just to sit there".
When asked if this meant the resumption of the war, he answered: "No, that does not mean that. We have not thought about it yet".
