CBS Araghchi May Return to Islamabad on Sunday or Monday

Khaberni - CBS News reported that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi left Islamabad for the Omani capital Muscat, after about 20 hours of talks with senior Pakistani officials, including Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir.

The network added that Pakistani officials remained silent about whether Tehran agreed to a second round of talks, but indicated that Araghchi is expected to return to Islamabad on Sunday or Monday.

It mentioned that a statement issued by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the talks on Saturday included no significant details and merely expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its role as a mediator between Iran and the United States.

The report noted that Araghchi had earlier stated that he does not intend to hold a direct meeting with American envoy Steve Witkoff or Jared Kushner, son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, who were scheduled to travel to Islamabad on Saturday.
