Iranian Parliamentarian No Specific Timeline for Lifting Internet Restrictions

Khaberni - Mustafa Pourdehghan, a member of the Industries and Mining Committee in the Iranian Parliament, told the Iranian ISNA agency that there is no specific timeline for the complete lifting of internet restrictions, as the total internet blackout in Iran enters its 57th day.

He added that he does not expect the "tiered internet" project, which Iran uses to categorize users so that not everyone gets the same level of access, speed, or services, to continue in the future.

He noted that "at present, the state's decisions are based on security considerations," he said.

The organization "NetBlocks" reported that the internet blackout in Iran has surpassed 8 weeks and entered its 57th day.
