Khaberni - The Iranian Armed Forces said on Saturday that they will respond if the United States continues its blockade of Iranian ports, describing the practices of the American military in the region as "robbery" and "piracy."
In a statement carried by the state-run radio and television, the Central Command Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces stated, "If the American army continues with the blockade, robbery, and piracy in the region, it should be certain that it will face a response from the strong Iranian Armed Forces."
The American Central Command announced that the guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) imposed the American naval blockade on Iranian ports, by intercepting a ship flying the Iranian flag that attempted to head to one of its ports.
The command clarified in a post on the X platform that the ship was prevented from continuing to sail, as part of implementing American measures to tighten maritime restrictions on Iran.
