Jordan Post renews its warning about text messages aimed at efraud

Khaberni - Jordan Post has renewed its warnings to service recipients and all citizens about the presence of fraudulent text messages and emails recently being circulated, impersonating Jordan Post and official entities, claiming there are shipments awaiting completion of procedures, a lack of information, or the need to pay fees.

Jordan Post clarified that the messages and links being circulated through emails, text messages, and messaging applications are fraudulent attempts aimed at stealing personal data, urging caution and advising against interacting with these suspicious links.

Jordan Post confirmed that it does not send such messages, nor does it request any financial information via text messages and emails, and that payment processes only occur through "e-Invoices" or upon delivery.

Jordan Post stressed the importance of verifying the authenticity and source of any link or message before dealing with it, especially in light of the spread of fake accounts aimed at e-fraud.

Jordan Post clarified that it had filed reports with the Cybercrime Unit of the Public Security Directorate to uncover the origins of the incoming messages, whether from inside Jordan or abroad, and to take necessary legal action.

Jordan Post also emphasized the importance of ignoring and deleting any such messages, not dealing with them in any way, and verifying the authenticity of messages by contacting the customer service of Jordan Post at "062005777".
