Real Madrids woes continue New injury hits team star

Khaberni - It seems that the woes of the Spanish team Real Madrid will not stop until the end of the current season, during which the team's dreams of clinching a title collapsed last Friday.

Real Madrid fell into the trap of a 1-1 draw with Real Betis, giving Barcelona the chance to extend their lead to 11 points if they win against Getafe in Madrid today, Saturday.

The league championship remains the only hope left for Kylian Mbappe and his teammates at Real Madrid to end the season with a trophy after losing the Spanish Super Cup and being knocked out of the King's Cup and the Champions League.

The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported in one of its articles that Kylian Mbappe suffered a hamstring injury in his left leg during the match against Betis last Friday.

Mbappe will undergo medical tests to clarify the status of the injury, noting that the Frenchman requested to be substituted immediately in the 81st minute when he felt the injury.

Mbappe has missed various periods this season for Real Madrid due to knee injuries that began to affect him since last December.

Alvaro Arbeloa, the coach of Real Madrid, commented on Mbappe's condition at the pre-match press conference, saying: "I don't know. He felt some discomfort, and we will see how the situation evolves over the next few days."

Real Madrid announced two days ago the loss of its Turkish star Arda Guler and Brazilian Eder Militao due to injuries until the end of the season.

It is worth mentioning that Mbappe leads the list of top scorers for Real Madrid in all competitions this season with a total of 41 goals, being the top scorer in the league with 24 and the Champions League with 15 goals.
