Khaberni - Defensa Central reported that according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, recent contacts have occurred in the last few hours between Florentino Perez and representatives of Vinicius Junior to put the final touches on the terms of his new contract.
According to the German journalist, Real Madrid has completed the procedures for extending the Brazilian star's contract, having reached a preliminary agreement, with only some final details remaining.
It is certain that Vinicius will stay at Santiago Bernabeu, but his salary will not exceed that of Kylian Mbappé, who will remain the highest-paid player at Real Madrid.
The French player receives 15 million euros, plus a signing bonus of 20 million euros, which Florentino Perez calculated based on the duration of his transfer in the summer of 2024, making it a total of 35 million euros annually.
This amount is significantly less than the more than 70 million euros he earned at Paris Saint-Germain during his final years in Paris.
