Khaberni - The Asian Football Confederation announced the adoption of the distribution of seats for national associations in the continental club championships for the 2026-2027 season (West Zone), according to the approved classification of club results in Asian participations.
According to this distribution, Jordanian clubs have obtained two seats, with one slot in the qualifying playoffs to the elite Asian Champions League, and a direct seat in the Asian Champions League 2 championship.
Jordan ranked seventh among West Asian federations, where the representative of Jordanian football will compete in the preliminary round (playoffs) in the elite Asian Champions League, aiming to reach the group stage, while another representative participates directly in the Asian Champions League 2 championship.
This distribution is part of the new championship system approved by the Asian Football Confederation, in the context of developing club competitions and raising the level of competitiveness across the continent.
It is expected that this representation will enhance the presence of Jordanian clubs in Asian championships and provide greater opportunities for technical interaction, which will positively reflect on the level of local football.
