Unreal Prices FIFA Offers 4 Tickets for Special Seats at the 2026 World Cup Final

Khaberni - The International Federation of Football (FIFA) faces widespread criticism due to its policies related to the sales of tickets for the 2026 World Cup amid rising prices and a lack of clarity in the offering mechanism.

The 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico with 48 teams participating.

FIFA ignited a broad controversy after offering 4 tickets for the final match of the 2026 World Cup at an unreal price exceeding two million US dollars per ticket.

According to the British newspaper "The Guardian," the World Cup ticket website offered 4 special tickets to watch the World Cup final scheduled for July 19 at the "MetLife" stadium in New Jersey, priced at $2,299,998.85 each.

The holder of the special ticket will sit behind the goal in the lower tier of the stadium, a unique position for watching the match.

A ticket for another seat in the lower tier, classified under the easy access standard seats category, will be offered at a price of $207,000, while a second-tier seat in the last row of the upper third tier is priced at $138,000.

A few meters away, another seat is offered for $23,000, while the cheapest final match tickets offered last Thursday were valued at $10,923.85 for four seats in the fourth row of the top upper tier behind the goal.

FIFA raised the price of the highest ticket for the World Cup final to $10,990, up from $1,600 in 2022.

On Wednesday, FIFA launched new groups of tickets for sale on its designated ticket website, with tickets available for the final match priced at $10,990.

In January last year, the price of the most expensive final match ticket on the resale market reached $230,000.

FIFA does not control the prices of tickets offered on the resale platform, but it charges a purchase fee of 15% from the buyer for each ticket and a resale fee of 15% from the seller.
