Using Heat A Method Surpassing Medication for Treating Mosquito Bites

Khaberni - Global data indicates that the summer of 2025 was "the hottest since records began in 1961", with an average temperature of 24.2 degrees Celsius, which contributed along with the humidity of the spring in creating an ideal environment for the spread of mosquitoes, which appeared early this year.

As mosquito bites increase, especially during warm periods, specialists reaffirm that prevention remains the first step, by avoiding exposure during peak activity hours, maintaining skin cleanliness, and using protective means like mosquito nets and repellents.

However, in case of bites, a traditional simple solution based on applying localized heat to the bite area for several seconds emerges, a technique known as "localized hyperthermia".

Experts explain that applying heat to a bite helps in breaking down some of the components injected by the mosquito into the skin, such as enzymes and proteins, which cause itching, inflammation, and pain.

The material indicates that this ancient approach has found a modern extension through a small device called Heat It, a device that connects to a smartphone and uses its power to generate precise localized heat on the bite spot.

Lucas Ledtke, the CEO of the device, says: "It is a chemical-free solution, relying only on the phone's power, with the ability to adjust the treatment degree according to each user's skin sensitivity, to avoid random use of heat".

According to a study conducted in 2023 involving 1750 participants, the majority of users noticed a significant reduction in itching within the first minute of using the device.

This "traditional treatment enhanced by technology" seems today to offer a practical and fast alternative to alleviate the discomfort of mosquito bites without the need for creams or chemicals.
