Washington Offers 10 Million for Information on the Leader of the Sayyid alShuhada Battalions in Iraq

Khaberni - The U.S. State Department is offering a reward of up to ten million dollars for information on the Secretary General of the "Sayyid al-Shuhada" Iraqi battalions, Hashim Finyan Rahimi Al-Saraji, who is considered by Washington a terrorist organization.

The State Department stated in a social media post that they are actively seeking Al-Saraji, also known as Abu A'laa Al-Walai.

The post mentioned that the Sayyid al-Shuhada battalions "have killed Iraqi civilians and attacked American diplomatic facilities in Iraq, as well as American military bases and personnel in Iraq and Syria."

The post also offered the possibility of residence in the United States in addition to the financial reward for information about him, and Al-Saraji is one of the leaders of the "Coordination Framework" alliance.

Moreover, Iraq has not been spared from the repercussions of the American-Israeli war on Iran, which lasted more than 40 days, during which, headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces and armed Iraqi factions were subject to raids attributed to the United States and Israel, while American interests were targeted in attacks claimed by Iraqi factions, and Tehran carried out strikes against Iranian Kurdish groups in the north of the country.

Washington intensified its pressure on Baghdad to confront the factions loyal to Tehran by suspending cash shipments and freezing funding for security programs in Iraq.
