Khaberni - The dollar is headed to achieve its first weekly gains in three weeks on Friday, as the deadlock in peace negotiations between the United States and Iran frustrates hopes of a quick easing of Middle East disturbances.
Meanwhile, the Dollar Index, which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of currencies, remained unchanged to stabilize at 98.81, on track for weekly gains of 0.59%. The euro rose 0.02% to 1.1685 dollars, while the British pound fell 0.01% to 1.3466 dollars.
In the meantime, the yen is headed for losses for the fifth consecutive day against the dollar, declining by 0.01% to 159.75 to the dollar.
The Australian dollar rose 0.04% to 0.7131 dollars. The New Zealand dollar gained 0.07% to 0.5856 dollars.
As for cryptocurrencies, the price of Bitcoin rose 0.71% to $78,474.55. Ether gained 0.41% to $2335.99.
