Khaberni - The Board of Directors of the Jordanian Industrial Cities Company elected, in its session held this evening, Thursday, Obaid Yassin, the General Secretary of the Covenant Party, as the Chairman of the Board of the company, succeeding Dr. Luay Sahuil whose term of office ended last November.
The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Industrial Cities Company, Engineer Fares Hammouda, stated that the board chose Obaid due to his distinguished experience in various positions he held, including his membership in several economic committees of the nineteenth Jordanian Parliament and his extensive knowledge of the Jordanian economy, qualifying him to lead the upcoming phase of the journey of the Jordanian Industrial Cities confidently and competently.
For his part, Obaid Yassin said that he looks forward during the coming period, alongside managing the company, to contribute more to the distinguished journey of the company and to build on what was previously achieved, as the company enjoys a distinguished local, Arab, and international reputation in the field of development and management of cities.
He affirmed that the company is approaching an important phase to implement the outputs of the economic modernization map in its industrial cities to advance the Jordanian industrial sector and increase its competitiveness.
It is noted that the Jordanian Industrial Cities Company is the legal successor to the Jordanian Industrial Cities Institution, which was established in 1980 and is considered the largest incubator for the industrial sector in Jordan. It owns 9 industrial cities distributed across all provinces of the kingdom, includes approximately 980 industrial companies with an investment volume exceeding 3 billion dinars, and has provided about 62,000 job opportunities.
