At the White House Trump will participate in the negotiation session between Israel and Lebanon

Khaberni - The White House announced that President Donald Trump will receive the ambassadors of Lebanon and Israel upon their arrival to conduct ambassador-level talks.

Trump will meet the envoys from Israel and Lebanon during a second round of talks between Tel Aviv and Beirut at the White House.

Israeli media earlier today reported that the talks between Beirut and Tel Aviv have been moved from the US State Department building to the White House.

Meanwhile, a high-ranking Lebanese official earlier today disclosed that today's meeting in Washington with Israel is a continuation of last week's meeting.

He also confirmed that the Lebanese side will request an extension of the ceasefire and a halt to the demolition of homes in the villages occupied by Israeli forces in the south, as reported by Anadolu Agency.

The meeting will include US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Lebanese Ambassador to the United States, Nada Hamada Mouawad, the Israeli Ambassador in Washington, Yehiel Litter, with the presence of the United States Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa, similar to the previous round.

But this time, the American Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, will join them.

The two countries, which have been officially at war since 1948, held a round of talks in Washington on April 14, the first of its kind since 1993, in an attempt to end the war.
