Judicial Ruling Against a Jordanian Youth in a Case of Requesting to Kiss a Womans Foot

Khaberni - The Grand Felony Court decided to amend the charge assigned to a young man in his twenties in a case of indecency, where it was shifted from a felony of indecency to a misdemeanor of requesting an indecent act (kissing the complainant's foot), according to judicial sources.

The court decided to sentence the defendant to six months in prison, but due to the waiver of personal rights, the penalty was reduced to four months, and it was considered executed since he had been detained for the same period.

According to the details of the indictment, the Public Prosecution initially charged the accused with the felony of indecency, after he followed a young woman in her twenties as she was leaving a commercial establishment owned by her in one of the central provinces, where it turned out that he followed her all the way to her home.

The prosecution added that during the incident, the accused uttered indecent phrases and requested the woman to kiss her feet, which led her to file an official complaint against him.

The decision came during a session held by the Grand Felony Court presided over by Judge Baker Al-Quraan, with the membership of Judges Diab Al-Tarawneh and Adel Al-Jaafar, and in the presence of the defense attorney Abdul Latif Madhesh.

The case concluded with the amendment of the charge and the reduction of the penalty after the waiver of personal rights, considering the detention period as execution of the penalty in a final judicial decision within a clear legal framework.
