Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality is installing an iron pedestrian bridge on King Abdullah II Street tonight as part of its infrastructure improvement plan, starting from midnight until 8 a.m., for one day only.
The Director of the Construction Department in Amman Municipality, Engineer Hani Al-Marashdeh said that the pedestrian bridge will be installed in the section from Khalda Roundabout to Al-Sharifa Fatima bint Nasser Mosque, as part of the municipality's plans to develop infrastructure and enhance public safety for road users, reduce traffic accidents, and ensure safe pedestrian crossing.
On his part, the Executive Director of Roads, Engineer Suleiman Al-Shammari, stated that the work execution requires a complete closure of the street lanes at the work site, to maintain public safety and the smoothness of execution, necessitating temporary traffic diversions as follows:
For traffic coming from Khalda roundabout towards Sweileh
Traffic will be diverted to the right towards Ghanem Walid Ali Street, then turn left onto Saeed Al Malik Binu Street, from there turn left towards Ayed Rashid Al-Sukar Street, reaching King Abdullah II Street, and then turning right towards Sweileh through Habiba Al Fahri Street.
And for traffic coming from Sweileh towards Khalda roundabout
Turn right towards Prince Ghazi signal, then turn left onto Malik bin Asmaa Street, from there turn left onto Nimr Al-Ariq Street, reaching King Abdullah II Street towards Khalda roundabout.
The Greater Amman Municipality has called on citizens and drivers to adhere to the traffic guidelines and instructions issued by the Traffic Management personnel, and to comply with the warning signs placed at the site, to ensure their safety and ensure smooth traffic flow.
