Khaberni - The family of the Egyptian artist Hani Shaker has announced that it will take legal action against the pages and accounts that have recently promoted rumors of his death on social media platforms, while sources close to him confirmed that he continues to receive medical care at a hospital in France.
Yasser Kantoush, the lawyer of the artist Hani Shaker, said that a complete legal file is currently being prepared to be submitted to the competent authorities, with the aim of monitoring and documenting the accounts that published incorrect information regarding his health condition, and to take legal action against those involved in spreading it.
Kantoush, in a statement carried by local media, explained that circulating inaccurate or misleading news about the artist's health condition will be met with legal actions, emphasizing the need for accuracy and not to indulge in rumors, which cause confusion and anxiety among the public and the family.
He emphasized that Hani Shaker is alive and receiving treatment, calling for prayers for him instead of spreading "fabricated news", pointing out that his legal team documented several pages that contributed to spreading the death rumor, and that official complaints will be filed against them.
In the same context, Kantoush stated on television that the family of the artist has expressed their extreme dissatisfaction with the spread of the rumor, indicating that publishing such news constitutes a legal violation punishable by law.
Simultaneously, an image said to be of Hani Shaker in a hospital was circulated on social media platforms, which sparked a mix of controversy and concern among his fans, before the authenticity of the image was denied.
Art critic Tareq El-Shennawi stated that Nahla Tawfiq, wife of the artist Hani Shaker, confirmed to him that the circulated image was not real, explaining that it was produced using artificial intelligence, and that no non-medical party could access the artist's room in the hospital, whether in Cairo or Paris.
Additionally, sources close to the artist Hani Shaker confirmed that he continues to receive medical care and meticulous follow-up at a hospital in France, as part of a treatment plan aimed at stabilizing and improving his health condition in the upcoming period, with regular examinations by the treating medical team.
Hani Shaker's health condition is receiving broad attention in artistic circles and among his fans in Egypt and the Arab world, amid messages of support and prayers for his recovery, while his fans await any positive developments regarding his health situation.
In an earlier development, journalist Adel Hammouda revealed details related to the artist's health condition, indicating that he suffered a severe health crisis that required urgent medical intervention, including partial colon removal, in addition to the heart muscle stopping for minutes before resuscitation.
Hani Shaker, known as the "Prince of Arab Singing", is one of the most prominent singing stars in the Arab world, having started his artistic career in the sixties of the last century, presenting dozens of musical works that achieved widespread popularity, along with his participation in several cinematic works.
Shaker held the position of syndicate leader of musical professions in Egypt between 2015 and 2021, leaving a clear mark in syndicate work alongside his continuous artistic presence, remaining one of the prominent names in the Arab singing scene.
