Khaberni -  Capital spending at the end of February 2026 increased by about 53.8 million dinars, or 60.4 percent, in comparison to the same period in 2025, which has contributed to boosting the pace of economic activity.

According to the Ministry of Finance’s bulletin, total government spending until the end of February 2026 reached approximately 1986.8 million dinars, comprising 1843.8 million dinars in current expenditures, and 143 million dinars in capital expenditures.

It is mentioned that capital spending increased by about 53.8 million dinars or 60.4 percent compared to the same period last year, amid government policies focusing on spending on capital projects since the beginning of the year to enhance economic activity and improve public services provided to citizens.

The rise in capital expenditures resulted from spending on a number of significant projects, including the development of the Risha gas field, equipping Ma'an military hospital, training and development of teachers, development and enhancement of municipalities, and supporting projects of the Tourism Promotion Authority.

Local revenues increased by about 36.3 million dinars at the end of February 2026, or 2.5 percent, reaching 1480.5 million dinars, compared to 1444.2 million dinars during the same period of the previous year.

The value of grants received by the kingdom during the first two months of the current year was about 16.3 million dinars compared to 3.4 million dinars for the same period last year, recording public revenues (including grants) of about 1497 million dinars compared with 1448 million dinars for the same comparison period.
