Khaberni - The Directorate of Public Works of Mafraq Governorate has offered a package of project bids for service and development, with a total cost of 750,000 Dinars, aimed at improving the infrastructure and increasing the efficiency of the road network and enhancing public safety elements across various areas of the governorate.
The Director of Public Works of Mafraq, Alaa Saleem, said on Wednesday that the offered bids include implementing projects for the opening and paving of agricultural roads in various areas of Mafraq's Qasbah, emphasizing the importance of these projects due to the governorate's heavy reliance on agricultural activity, which supports farmers and facilitates their access to their lands.
Saleem added that the directorate also released bids for projects related to public safety, including the installation of metal barriers and sample speed bumps on several priority roads, in addition to performing maintenance on a number of main and rural roads.
She noted that the directorate is in the process of offering 6 new bids valued at 230,000 Dinars, including projects for road maintenance and the installation of safety measures on several roads that require improvements in this area.
She mentioned the commencement of projects from previously offered bids, stating that implementation began approximately 20 to 30 days ago, depending on the nature of each project, and following approved standards and specifications.
