AlJaghbeer Chambers of Industry Work to Increase Womens Contribution to the Sector

Khaberni - The head of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, engineer Fathi Al-Jaghbeer, affirmed the industry chambers’ support for increasing the employment of Jordanian women in the industrial sector, through launching programs and courses designed for women to develop their businesses and skills, whether they are entrepreneurs or work in management. Currently, the employment rate of women in industrial companies is about 30% of the total workforce.

On the occasion of the International Day for Women in Industry, which was adopted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization on April 21st of every year, Al-Jaghbeer added that in appreciation of the contribution of women industrialists, the Amman Chamber of Industry honored a number of women industrialists during the Jordan Industry Day organized by the chamber under royal sponsorship, under the theme "Excellence and Renaissance".

Al-Jaghbeer also mentioned the launch by the Amman Chamber of Industry of the Women Industrialists Business Council, aimed at strengthening ties among Jordanian industrialists, which assists in enhancing women's contribution to the national economy.
