AlFaisaly Refuses to Complete the Basketball Match and Threatens to Resort to FIBA

Khaberni – The management of Al-Faisaly club refused the decision of the basketball federation to continue the second final match (out of a scheduled 5 matches) against the Amman Union, following the termination of the match (forcibly) according to the chairman of the interim committee at the club, Ahmad Wreikat.
Wreikat stated in comments to the sports channel with broadcaster Laith Al-Saud, that the main problem was caused by two Amman Union players who deliberately made gestures that conflict with our Jordanian values and customs to the audience present in the hall.
He also indicated that the coach of the Amman Union refused to continue the match, despite the match observer's decision at the time, as the match was ended (forcibly) after the coach was called upon twice by the referee, which means his withdrawal from the match.
Wreikat supported his argument with Article 7 of the Discipline and Conduct Regulations issued by the Jordan Basketball Federation.
He refused to continue the match, or to impose any penalty on the supporters of Al-Faisaly club.
Wreikat threatened that if Al-Faisaly feels prejudiced by any subsequent decisions, he would resort to the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
The Jordan Basketball Federation had issued a decision to continue the Al-Faisaly and Amman Union match from the moment it stopped, and to review the reports available to it to make a decision or decisions regarding those responsible for the disturbance in the match.
