Khaberni - In a surprising development in the investigation of the bloody attack that targeted a school in Kahramanmaras, the Turkish public prosecutor announced the arrest of the attacker's mother, charging her with "deliberate medical negligence" that led to the crime.
Criminal investigations have revealed shocking details, as it turned out that psychologists had previously advised the mother to take her son to a child and adolescent psychiatric hospital for evaluation and to get his condition under control. However, the mother ignored these official recommendations and did not consult the specialized clinics, which led to the exacerbation of the young man's mental condition, culminating in him carrying out the armed attack.
The public prosecutor indicated that the decision to arrest is based on the principle of negligent responsibility; where the authorities considered that the mother's failure to take necessary medical steps directly contributed to creating the conditions for the massacre that resulted in casualties among students and teachers.
