Khaberni - The Uskudar district in Istanbul, Turkey, witnessed an incident that caused panic among residents, after a group of stray dogs suddenly appeared roaming in one of the streets, before gathering and attacking a parked car, causing physical damage to it.
Social media clips showed the moment the dogs moved inside the neighborhood as a pack, before suddenly heading towards the vehicle and colliding with it, amidst confusion among the residents who tried to intervene to drive them away.
According to accounts shared by residents of the area, the dogs were initially moving normally before they quickly gathered and formed a pack in a side street, later moving towards the parked vehicle and causing it physical damage before withdrawing from the site after some residents intervened and made noise to drive them away.
This incident brings to the forefront the issue of stray dogs in Istanbul, which periodically sparks wide debate in local circles, especially in residential areas, where some residents complain about their increasing numbers and sometimes their appearance in groups, raising safety concerns.
Local reports indicate that this issue is one of the ongoing social issues in Turkey, with opinions varying between demands for more stringent regulatory solutions to limit their spread, and human rights calls emphasizing the need for humane treatment of animals.
