50minute Flight A Challenge Facing the Egypt National Team at the 2026 World Cup

Khaberni - The Egypt national team faces new challenges during its expected participation in the 2026 World Cup finals in America, Canada, and Mexico.

The Egyptian team is in a group that includes the teams of Belgium, New Zealand, and Iran, with the knowledge that it will play its matches in the group stage in the United States.

In this light, Hani Abou Rida, the president of the Egyptian Football Association, revealed logistical challenges facing "The Pharaohs" in the upcoming World Cup.

Abou Rida said during a meeting of the Youth and Sports Committee of the Egyptian Parliament: "The national team's participation in the upcoming World Cup will witness significant logistical challenges due to the tournament being held in three countries."

He added: "This requires travel that may take up to 50 minutes by flight between the place of residence and the match venues during the group stage, unlike the Qatar World Cup."

The head of the Egyptian Football Association continued: "The national team’s preparation plan for the World Cup is proceeding according to a comprehensive program coordinated with the technical staff."

He concluded saying: "The national team will play a friendly match against one of the European teams before traveling to the World Cup, as well as a strong match against the Brazil national team on June 6th next."

In turn, Hossam Hassan, the technical director of the Egypt national team, explained during the meeting that the Egyptian people have recently become more supportive and affiliated with the national team than the clubs.

Hossam Hassan says: "The Egypt national team represents a great value for all Egyptians both inside and outside the country, and the public's affiliation with the national team exceeds that of the clubs, and I am happy that the Egypt national team has become a reason for the happiness of the Egyptian people."

"The Dean" added: "We rely on playing strong matches against various football schools with the aim of improving the players' levels and preparing them optimally for major events, and national teams do not evolve without strong encounters with major teams."

Hossam Hassan concluded his statements saying: "African football has become stronger and has developed a lot, and it is no longer easy to achieve results without effort and comprehensive preparation, and we have a distinguished group of professionals led by Mohamed Salah."
