Khaberni - Jordanian businessman, Engineer Bashar Al-Omari won the presidency of the board of directors of the Jordanian Association in Abu Dhabi, during the elections held on Monday to select the new board, in a move that reflects the level of trust he enjoys and opens the door to a new phase aiming to enhance the presence of the association and expand its role in serving the Jordanian community in the United Arab Emirates.
The elections witnessed significant attendance and interaction from the community members, while the members of the Hussein Irbid Fans Association in the UAE marked a strong presence in the elections, after they swept the results by achieving the highest votes, a scene that reflects their influence and presence within the Jordanian community, and the role they play in social and national unity work.
Al-Omari's victory came on top of a block that included elite members of the Jordanian community, such as: Yazan Al-Azzam (Hussein Association), Maen Al-Sukran (Hussein Association), Ismat Al-Rawashdeh, Khaled Al-Bashaiera, Rami Al-Tayti, Rakan Ababneh, Mohammad Al-Zawahreh, and Ahmad Al-Alawnah, in a formation that reflects the diversity of experiences and aspirations relied upon in the coming stage to push the association's work towards a broader space of presence and impact.
Al-Omari emphasized that the new board looks forward to creating a qualitative leap in the association's work, making it closer to the Jordanian community members and more capable of meeting their aspirations and needs, stressing that the association must be a home for all Jordanians, and a unifying platform for competences, energies, and initiatives.
He pointed out that the next phase will witness the launch of a clear annual work plan, activation of specialized committees for youth, women, businessmen, students, and social affairs, in addition to establishing a database for community members, and organizing regular forums that enhance bonding and communication, as well as launching innovative initiatives to empower youth, support Jordanian women, and care for students and new graduates.
Al-Omari added that the new board will also work on enhancing the media and digital presence of the association, holding national, cultural, and social events that reflect the Jordanian identity, and building effective partnerships with community and UAE institutions, contributing to the dignified portrayal of Jordanians in the UAE and practically translating the association’s slogan that it is a unifying home for all Jordanians.
Engineer Bashar Al-Omari has a notable professional and academic career. He is a Jordanian businessman in the United Arab Emirates, holding a bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology from Yarmouk University in 1998, as well as a Master's degree in Business Administration from London University in 2022. He is a member of the Jordanian Geologists Syndicate and a member of the Engineers Association – Abu Dhabi Municipality, also serving as the Vice President of the Jordanian Emirati Businessmen Council for more than five years.
Furthermore, Al-Omari has over 15 years of professional experience in the field of engineering and geological studies before he founded his own business in 2014. Today, he is a partner and owner of several companies operating in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan, leading a team of approximately 1000 employees with Jordanians making up the majority, reflecting his professional presence, leadership ability, and capacity to build successful institutions.
