Khaberni - The head of the Union and Reform parliamentary bloc, MP Captain Zuhair Mohammed Al-Khashman, praised the signing of the final technical and legal agreement for the national water carrier project, confirming that this project represents a strategic national step reflecting the state's seriousness in dealing with the water file as a sovereign priority that affects the present and future of Jordanians.
Al-Khashman pointed out that the importance of the project does not stop at its large size, but in its direct impact on the lives of citizens, especially as it will contribute to increasing the annual per capita water share from 60 cubic meters to 110 cubic meters, i.e., an increase of 50 cubic meters per year per capita, and will raise the number of water supply days from one day per week to 3 days per week, thereby enhancing water security and improving the level of service in various provinces of the kingdom.
Al-Khashman explained that what is appreciated is that Jordan, amid regional tension and the disturbances and rapid transformations in the region, still continues steadfastly and achieves its major national projects with confidence and responsibility, which confirms the strength of the Jordanian state and its ability to work and accomplish despite the challenges, emphasizing that what is required today is to continue this approach, accelerate the implementation of strategic projects, and enhance governance and monitoring to ensure proper execution and protect public money.
Al-Khashman confirmed that the Union and Reform parliamentary bloc views the national water carrier project as a distinguished state project, and an advanced step on the path to consolidating water stability and supporting development pathways, appreciating every national effort contributed to reaching this stage, and emphasizing that Jordan always deserves major projects that meet its resilience, ambition, and people's trust in their state.
