Khaberni - Amid a swift wave of rumors on social media platforms, the artist Nadia Mustafa, the official spokesperson for the Musicians Syndicate and a member of its board of directors, stepped out to put an end to the rumors circulating in the past hours regarding the death of artist Hani Shaker, affirming that these reports are completely baseless.
This comes at a time when the artist is receiving treatment in a hospital in France after suffering a health setback linked to respiratory failure that required the use of artificial respiration devices, despite a slight improvement in his condition previously.
Nadia Mustafa, who has a close relationship with the artist's family, strongly criticized the circulating rumors, describing them as "pure fabrication and lies," confirming her careful monitoring of the developments of his health condition through direct communication with his wife Nahla Tawfiq.
Nadia Mustafa indicated in a post via her official Facebook account that the circulation of such news represents a grave ethical breach, especially given the delicate health circumstances that the artist is going through.
The Egyptian artist relied in her stance on religious references, citing Qur'anic verses and prophetic sayings that warn against lying and its consequences, considering that the spread of rumors does not only mislead but also extends to affect the feelings of families and the dignity of individuals. She described these practices as "major sins," highlighting their moral and societal dangers.
In contrast, she expressed appreciation for those who seek accuracy before publishing news, considering them as "the first line of defense for credibility" at a time when truth is mingled with noise. She also warned against engaging in what she described as "a false trend" at the expense of others' pains, emphasizing that ethical responsibility mandates verification before publishing.
Meanwhile, Nadia Mustafa took the opportunity to send a message of human support to Hani Shaker, wishing him a speedy recovery and return to his audience, as she supported his wife, praising her resilience in facing the health and psychological pressures accompanying the crisis, and described what she is going through as a severe test, in her words.
The rumors had notably escalated during the late hours of Monday to Tuesday, as many accounts circulated unconfirmed news about the artist's death, before the Musicians Syndicate, headed by Mustafa Kamel, intervened decisively to deny those claims, urging the public not to follow misleading news.
