Khaberni - The capital Amman captured the largest share from the total value of the facilities offered by the banking sector in the fourth quarter of last year, at a rate close to 82%, with a value amounting to 29.552 billion dinars.
Irbid province came in second place in terms of the volume of facilities according to geographical distribution, based on data from the central bank, reaching a value of approximately 1.891 billion dinars, while Zarqa ranked third, with 1.262 billion dinars. Meanwhile, Tafilah province was in the last place, with a value amounting to 150 million dinars, out of the total facilities amounting to 36.068 billion dinars.
The state of facilities also reflected on deposits, as the value of deposits in the last three months of the previous year reached approximately 42.303 billion dinars, accounting for 84.6% of the total facilities which amounted to about 50 billion dinars.
Also, the provinces of Irbid and Zarqa came in second and third place respectively in the geographical distribution of total deposits during this period, with 2.559 and 1.896 billion dinars, respectively, while Tafilah province was in the last position, with deposit values reaching 83 million dinars.
