French Economy Minister Iran Crisis Cost France 46 Billion Euros

Khaberni - French Economy Minister Roland Lescure said on Tuesday that the war on Iran and its repercussions on energy markets cost France between four billion euros ($4.71 billion) and six billion euros.

Lescure said that this impact would include the rise in government debt costs resulting from the current market situation.

He added that he would introduce measures to freeze spending today, Tuesday, and that Prime Minister Sebastian Lecornu will also announce steps to help consumers cope with rising energy prices this evening.
