Khaberni - The boy Muhammad Majdi Al-Ja'bari (16 years old) was martyred this Tuesday morning after being run over by a settler who was driving an Israeli security vehicle on the highway near the town of Beit Einun north of Hebron city, in the southern occupied West Bank.
Palestinian reports and eyewitness accounts from the scene stated that Muhammad Majdi Al-Ja'bari was martyred after being run over during a procession for the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, who resides in the Kiryat Arba settlement, where the procession was accompanying Ben Gvir to occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli media reported that a vehicle belonging to the "Magin" unit, responsible for securing ministers and senior officials in the Israeli government, ran over a Palestinian boy this morning on Highway 60 leading to the settlement of Kiryat Arba at the Beit Einun junction near Hebron, resulting in his immediate death.
The reports clarified that the boy was riding a bicycle and suffered critical injuries from the accident before his death was later announced.
According to the Israeli Army Radio, the vehicle belongs to the protection team of a minister residing in a settlement in the Hebron area.
Initial data indicated that the driver of the vehicle was slightly injured, while footage from the scene showed the bicycle smashed in the middle of the road, and another car collided with a traffic light pole.
According to the "Ynet" website, the vehicle that collided with the Palestinian boy belonged to the "Magin" security unit of the Prime Minister's Office, and was on a mission to transport a protected person at the time of the accident.
The “Magen David Adom” emergency center received a report about the accident at 6:07 AM via the emergency line 101 in the Jerusalem area, where medical teams rushed to the scene and pronounced the boy dead due to multiple injuries, while the police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
The ambulance crew that arrived at the location explained that they found the boy lying a distance from his electric bicycle in the middle of the road, unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and suffering from severe injuries throughout his body from the crash. They added that despite the medical examinations, the severity of the injuries prevented his rescue, and his death was declared at the scene.
