Khaberni - The father of the young man Saif Al-Khawaldeh, who found his body a few days ago in Tafilah governorate, revealed new details claiming that his son's body was dissolved with a caustic substance.
The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate confirmed that the investigation team, through investigations, collecting information, and tracking the person in all ways and places of his presence, developed a suspicion that the individual had been murdered and the suspicion was narrowed down to one of the missing person’s friends and relatives, who was proven in investigations to be the last person to meet and accompany him.
The spokesperson continued that the suspect was arrested and during interrogation, he confessed that during their stay at a remote tourist lodge, a momentary dispute occurred between them, during which he struck the deceased's head with a stone, leading to his death. He then burned the body to obscure the crime's details, informed his brother about it, and received his assistance in concealing the crime.
He indicated that, with his guidance, the crime traces were found, and the case was referred to the public prosecutor at the Grand Criminal Court, who decided to detain him for 15 days in a reform and rehabilitation center for the charge of premeditated murder, and also decided to detain the perpetrator's brother for 15 days on a charge of complicity in the murder.
