Appointment of New CEO for Apple John Ternus Succeeds Tim Cook

Khaberni - Apple announced on Monday the appointment of John Ternus, one of its senior officials, as the new CEO, entrusting him with the leadership tasks of the company succeeding Tim Cook, at a time when the iPhone manufacturer is preparing for an industrial transformation led by artificial intelligence technologies.

Apple stated in a press release that Cook, who has been leading the company since 2011, will become the executive chairman of the board, according to Reuters.

In a separate context, it added that Johny Srouji, who oversees chip and custom sensor designs, has been appointed as the head of the hardware sector.

"New Energy"
It is noteworthy that Ternus joined Apple in 2001, and has recently overseen the company’s hardware engineering efforts. He has also played a key role in revitalizing sales such as Mac computers, which have increased their market share over the past few years.

With Ternus's appointment as CEO, Apple transitions from Cook’s leadership, known for his expertise in supply chains and transforming the company into a global brand producing hundreds of millions of devices annually, to a leadership that has been focusing on design and products for many years.

Ben Bajarin, CEO of Creative Strategies, a technology consulting firm, said that Ternus is highly regarded within Apple and "will inject new energy."
