Khaberni - Prosecutors in the United States have charged American singer "d4vd" with the murder of a 14-year-old girl, whose mutilated and decomposed body was found in September inside his abandoned Tesla model car.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office stated that the singer, who is 21 years old and legally named David Burke, has been charged with first-degree murder in the case of the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose family had reported her missing in 2024 when she was 13 years old, before authorities confirmed she was 14 years old at the time of her death.
On his part, lawyers for the Houston-born pop singer stated that he is innocent, in a statement released following his arrest on Thursday by homicide detectives at a Hollywood home.
The lawyers added: "Let's be clear, the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not kill Celeste Rivas Hernandez and was not the cause of her death."
