Khaberni - The Egyptian Ministry of Interior issued a statement after a video appeared showing an individual preparing a rope fixed to the ceiling of a room in the form of a "noose", demonstrating the method to use it for committing suicide.
The ministry clarified that the circulated clip was examined, the account responsible for its publication was traced, and subsequently, the owner of the account was identified and apprehended, turning out to be a worker residing in the jurisdiction of the Semanoud Police Center in Gharbia governorate.
Upon confrontation, the individual denied having any real intention to commit suicide, explaining that what he did was "in jest", and that he deliberately posted the video on his personal account aiming to attract as many viewers as possible, seeking to earn money from interactions on social media platforms.
The ministry confirmed that the necessary legal actions were taken concerning the incident, as part of its efforts to monitor and regulate violations related to the misuse of social media sites.
