Khaberni - The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) has revealed that Russian player Artem Dzyuba is among the top three laziest defensive players in the world, alongside Argentine star Lionel Messi, and Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo.
This ranking is based on data from 46 major leagues worldwide and shows how little distance the player covers without the ball compared to his teammates.
For example, while team players cover one kilometer, both Artem Dzyuba and Cristiano Ronaldo run only 740 meters, while Messi covers 700 meters, according to the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES).
Players such as Frenchman Kylian Mbappe from Real Madrid, Colombian John Cordoba from Krasnodar, and Kosovar Merlind Daku from Rubin Kazan have also joined the top ten list of the laziest defensive players.
