American military planes have reached the Nur Khan Air Base near Islamabad in readiness for the negotiations, while the Pakistani Army Chief informed the American President Donald Trump, that the American blockade is hindering the negotiations; A Pakistani security source said that Trump had informed him that he would take his advice into consideration.
An Iranian source told Reuters that the disputes regarding the nuclear program are still ongoing, noting that the gaps between the two countries have not seen any convergence so far; he added that Iran's "defensive capabilities," including its missile program, are not up for negotiation, and said that "the continuation of the American blockade in the Strait of Hormuz undermines peace talks."
Iranian media reports stated that the Iranian armed forces conducted, on Monday, a drone attack targeting some American warships, in response to an American operation in the Gulf of Oman.
Iran accused the United States of violating the ceasefire by targeting an Iranian commercial ship in the Sea of Oman, considering it an "aggressive act," and promising to respond at an appropriate time, amid escalating maritime tensions.
