Bin Salman meets Burhan to discuss Sudan crisis and regional security

Khaberni  - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed on Monday with the chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the current developments in Sudan, its ramifications, and the efforts regarding these.

This came during a meeting between the two parties in Jeddah Province, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency, where they emphasized the necessity of ensuring Sudan's security and stability, maintaining its sovereignty, territorial unity, and integrity.

The meeting reviewed the course of bilateral relations and prospects for enhancing them, and advancing areas of joint cooperation between the two countries.

The Saudi Crown Prince affirmed the depth of historic relations between the two countries, expressing his appreciation for Sudan's supportive stances towards the Kingdom and its solidarity with it.

On his part, Burhan valued the role of Saudi Arabia in supporting Sudan in all fields. The meeting also touched on the security and stability of the region, especially the Red Sea.

According to the Sudanese News Agency, Burhan reiterated Sudan's government and people's solidarity with the Saudi government and people against "attacks targeting their security and stability," and condemned "the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom."

Burhan also affirmed Sudan's readiness to provide all forms of support to Saudi Arabia, stating that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Sudan's security. The two sides renewed their determination to continue intensive consultation and coordination between their countries concerning regional and area issues.
