Khaberni - Wolverhampton has become the first team to relegate to the second tier (Championship) out of three, following West Ham’s draw with neighboring Crystal Palace (0-0) at the end of the thirty-third round of the English Football League, on Monday evening.
After seven consecutive seasons in the premier league, Wolverhampton will play in the "Championship" having fallen behind to the last position, 16 points adrift from seventeenth-placed West Ham, with five rounds left until the season ends.
The struggle will be intense in the final stages to avoid following them, with West Ham only two points ahead of their eighteenth-placed neighbor Tottenham, and Nottingham Forest just three points ahead.
Meanwhile, Burnley seems on the path to relegation as it occupies the nineteenth position, 13 points away from the safe zone.
