Khaberni - Vincent Kompany, the coach of Bayern Munich, has refused offers from several TV channels to work as an analyst for the 2026 World Cup.
The British "Daily Mail" newspaper learned that the Belgian coach, who secured his team the German league title and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League and the German Cup, intends to relax and rejuvenate over the summer after an intense season.
According to the newspaper, Kompany, aged 40, is highly sought after to work as an analyst for several reasons.
The "BBC" and "ITV" networks cover the tournament in the United Kingdom, hoping to gain some valuable insights into Harry Kane, the captain of the England national team, who had a remarkable season with Bayern Munich under the Belgian coach's guidance.
However, the "Daily Mail" clarified that Kompany rejected the offers, thus preventing the TV channels from discovering the secrets of Kane's success.
It is worth mentioning that Kompany, the former captain of Manchester City, is an eloquent speaker, having previously worked as a sports analyst for various channels.
In 2019, Kompany joined several prominent names such as Jose Mourinho, Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, and Graeme Souness for "Sky Sports" coverage of the Manchester City vs. Liverpool match at "Anfield".
As a player, Kompany was forced to miss out on the Belgian national team at Euro 2016 due to a thigh injury, instead joining the BBC analysis team.
