Khaberni - The legend Wayne Rooney, former star of English Manchester United, criticized Liverpool players’ behaviour towards their teammates Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson after the end of the "Merseyside" derby against Everton on Sunday, pointing out that this diminishes respect for the rest of the team.
Liverpool players pushed the duo, who played their last derby match before leaving the red club at the end of the current season, to the front to greet the fans after a hard-won victory against their traditional rival Everton with two goals to one.
Rooney, on his "Wayne Rooney Show" on the YouTube channel of the British Broadcasting Corporation "BBC" on Monday, said: I did not like what Liverpool players did with Salah and Robertson after the end of the derby, as if the focus was now just on those two instead of the team.
He continued: I do not favor this behavior as it shows a lack of respect for the rest of the players, yes, the duo deserve a proper farewell but at the end of the season and not after this game.
He concluded: We play a team game and therefore every match is the effort of an entire team that deserves recognition, and when we reach the last game of the season, we can give Salah the celebration he deserves as a historical legend, but not now.
