Killing of several agents of the occupation in an ambush by resistance factions in Gaza

A number of Israeli occupation agents were killed and others were injured, today, Monday, in an ambush carried out by resistance factions in the middle of Khan Yunis city, during which a woman was killed and 5 others were injured by an attack by gangs cooperating with Israel in the northwest Rafah city, southern Gaza Strip.

The "Palestinian Media Center" quoted local sources as saying, "3 vehicles for the occupation agents, infiltrated near Abu Hamid roundabout in the center of Khan Yunis city, were exposed by the resistance security, which confronted them, and targeted one of them with a direct shell, leading to its burning, and killing and injuring those inside."

Clashes erupted at the location after the targeting operation, while the occupation's aircraft and drones quickly intervened to secure the withdrawal of the remaining "client gangs" from the area, amid gunfire from helicopters, and artillery shells, according to the sources.

The center mentioned that the civilians who were near the area took photos and videos showing a vehicle of the militias burning, and several of its members fleeing, and sounds of clashes were heard in them, highlighting a clip showing citizens happy after the targeting.

Following the incident, the "Ra'id" force affiliated with the resistance factions stated that it would publish details of what happened later.

In this context, a security source reported the killing of citizen Rasha Abu Jazar (43 years old) and the injuring of 5 others, in an attack carried out by "gangs cooperating with Israel with support from the army," around the Ma'awiya Mosque area northwest of Rafah city.

Israeli Intervention

The source mentioned that members of these gangs advanced with several vehicles in the area and opened fire randomly towards the Palestinians.

As a result, clashes erupted between the fighters of the Palestinian factions and the armed gang members, resulting in a number of elements killed and wounded, according to the same source.

The source confirmed that during the clashes, the Israeli army intervened to protect the gangs, firing and dropping bombs from drones towards the faction fighters and the Palestinians, resulting in the killing of a Palestinian woman and injuring others.

The source noted that the "client gangs," located in areas under the control and deployment of the occupation army, tried to advance from several locations into the Strip, but they faced resistance from the factions.

Activists on social media circulated a video clip showing sounds of explosions and clashes in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Strip, stating that they occurred during an attempt by resistance factions to fend off the client gangs trying to advance in the area.

In June 2025, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for committing war crimes in Gaza, admitted to arming militias in Gaza for use against the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas."

"Hamas" has repeatedly stated that these militias operate in areas under the control and spread of the Israeli army, under the ceasefire agreement effective since October 10, 2025.

In February 2026, the "Qassam Brigades", the military wing of Hamas, threatened these gangs with pursuit and killing, stating at the time that "the enemy will not be able to protect them."

An agreement to cease fire was reached, after a two-year genocide war started by Israel in Gaza on October 8, 2023, and continued in various forms afterward, leaving more than 72,000 martyrs, and more than 172,000 wounded Palestinians, and extensive destruction that affected 90% of the infrastructure.
