Khaberni - As part of its ongoing efforts to economically empower Jordanian youth and to enhance their readiness to enter the labor market to contribute to sustainable development, Zain Jordan, in collaboration with the Vocational Training Corporation, the Advanced Vocational Training College, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), has announced the launch of its new specialized free training courses in maintenance of mobile devices and electronic gaming devices, which will be held in Zain's six centers located in various governorates of the kingdom.
This launch of training courses, which the company has been conducting for 19 years, is part of Zain Jordan's strategy aimed at reducing unemployment rates by equipping young men and women with the necessary technical and professional skills and preparing them to effectively engage in the labor market and develop national competencies capable of supporting the development journey and enhancing the national economy. The training courses also emphasize the principles of the circular economy, focusing on enabling young men and women to acquire mobile device maintenance skills that contribute to extending the operational life of devices through their repair and reuse instead of disposing of them, thereby helping to reduce electronic waste and lessen the need to purchase new devices to preserve the environment and promote sustainable resource use.
These courses are also part of the company's efforts to narrow the gap between educational outcomes and labor market requirements, by providing practical trainings that focus on modern digital and technical skills, enabling participants to build sustainable career paths that allow them to achieve stability and secure their future.
The courses are held in Zain centers located in the governorates of Zarqa, Tafila, Karak, Salt, and Irbid at the Advanced Vocational Training College, in addition to the course designated for Palestinian refugees held at the Zain center at the Wadi Seer Training College (UNRWA). The training period lasts up to 6 months with a total of 700 training hours combining theoretical and practical aspects under the supervision of a select group of experts and trainers, enabling participants to acquire advanced skills that qualify them to enter the labor market or start their own projects.
Graduates will receive accredited professional certification providing them with direct job opportunities post-graduation. Additionally, Zain works to connect them with companies operating in the maintenance of mobile and electronic gaming devices sector and offers additional support including transportation allowances for trainees, along with supplying them with necessary tools and equipment upon completion of the training.
The new courses have seen significant interest from young men and women, reflecting the growing interest in technical and professional skills that meet labor market demands. To date, more than 2200 young men and women in various governorates of the kingdom have benefited from Zain's free training programs, while the number of graduates from previous batches is 56 young men and women. Zain Jordan has announced through its official social media accounts the opening of registration for these free courses by visiting any of its centers at the Vocational Training Corporation in Zarqa, Irbid, Tafila, Karak, and Salt, in addition to the Zain center at Wadi Seer Training College (UNRWA) dedicated to courses for Palestinian refugees.
