iOS 27 May Solve One of the Most Annoying iPhone Issues

Khaberni - New leaks suggest that iOS 27 may bring a long-awaited solution for iPhone users, especially those who have suffered from the chaos of main screen arrangement after a mistaken touch.

"Undo" and "Redo" finally arrive
According to a report by specialist journalist Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is testing the addition of "Undo" and "Redo" buttons within the customization menu on the home screen, whether in iOS 27 or iPadOS 27.

The new feature will allow users to instantly reverse any unintended changes, such as moving an app icon, deleting a widget, or rearranging items in an unwanted way, without the need to manually reset everything.

A solution to a longstanding annoyance
So far, iOS does not provide any quick way to undo mistakes during home screen customization, which can sometimes make the experience stressful, especially when the icons move randomly or "slide" to unintended locations.

Although Apple has added incremental features over the years — such as the widget in iOS 14, the ability to freely distribute icons and change their colors in iOS 18, and transitioning to the "Liquid Glass" design in iOS 26 — the customization experience still suffers from some limitations.

A small but important step
The anticipated feature will not address all issues related to screen arrangement, such as the behavior of icons that "auto-align" to a set grid, but it does represent Apple's recognition of a real problem in the user experience.

It is expected that these changes — if officially adopted — will be revealed during the WWDC 2026 conference, scheduled for June 8, where the company typically showcases the major updates to its systems.

Will it actually arrive?
Although the feature is still in testing and may not reach the final version, it serves as an example of how simple changes can make a significant difference in daily use.

In the end, this addition may not be revolutionary, but it could save users minutes of frustration each time the screen layout is disturbed by an unintended click.
