Khaberni - Professor Dr. Tareq Al-Qarm, Vice President of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, signed a cooperation agreement with the General Manager of Huawei Co-operative / Jordan, Mr. Yuan Feng, aimed at enhancing the partnership between the two parties in the fields of technical training and student qualification, in alignment with market requirements and the rapid developments in the information and telecommunications technology sector.
The agreement also aims to develop a joint cooperation relationship between the two parties, in preparation for completing the final procedures to launch the certified Huawei Information and Network Academy (HAINA) program before the end of 2026, contributing to providing an advanced training environment for students and faculty members.
The agreement includes providing technical and advisory support from Huawei experts online to discuss curricula, facilitate the logistical aspects of projects proposed by the university, and implement specialized training programs within the Huawei Academy to obtain the Trainer Certificate (HCAI), enabling the qualification of professional trainers from Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan.
The areas of cooperation also include organizing joint workshops for the exchange of knowledge and industrial experiences, and exploring future collaboration opportunities in the fields of digital innovation, in addition to supporting the university's directions towards developing a smart campus project.
Professor Dr. Tareq Al-Qarm emphasized the importance of this agreement in supporting the university's vision aimed at building an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with the best global practices, noting that cooperation with Huawei will provide quality opportunities for students to acquire practical and technical skills, and enhance their competitive readiness on both local and regional levels.
The signing ceremony was attended by Engineer Lana Al-Najjar, Director of Relationships at the company, and the Deans of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology, Professor Dr. Ayish Al-Haroub, and the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr. Yousef Jeradat.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties discussed mechanisms for activating the terms of the agreement and developing an executive plan for joint programs, alongside forecasting future cooperation prospects in the areas of practical training and exchange of technical expertise.
