Khaberni - The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate reaffirmed that the criminal records in Jordan are free from any cases of child kidnapping by strangers and that the circulated reports about the existence of child kidnapping cases within the kingdom are untrue and misleading to the public, spreading fear among them.
He confirmed that the relevant units are following up on recordings that were circulated showing a woman, who publishers claimed was kidnapping children, without any responsibility to verify and substantiate that information.
He pointed out that no complaints of kidnapping or disappearance of any child from the region mentioned in the recordings have been registered, and all publishers of the recordings will be summoned to examine all the details.
The spokesperson urged everyone to obtain information from official sources and not to publish any posts without verification and confirmation, to avoid spreading rumors and panic in society, affirming that the Public Security Directorate is always proactive in publishing everything that concerns the society from warnings or statements regarding any criminal issues or phenomena that concern the public.
