Khaberni - The General Manager of Jordan Customs, Customs General Ahmad Al-Akaliq, followed during a field visit the progress of work procedures and mechanisms for providing customs services at the Customs Center for airport clearance.
Al-Akaliq emphasized the importance of simplifying procedures and speeding up the handling of transactions in line with modernization and development plans pursued by the Customs Department, which ensures the provision of quality services contributing to the support of the investment environment and enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy. He stressed the importance of enhancing coordination among the staff at the center and improving their readiness to deal with the increase in work volume while fully complying with regulatory instructions and ensuring the smooth movement of goods without delay.
The center is experiencing a doubled shipping movement during the current period, involving both transit movements and goods incoming to the kingdom, which requires high coordination and redoubled efforts from all relevant parties.
At the conclusion of the visit, Al-Akaliq commended the efforts of the employees at the center, appreciating their role in maintaining a high level of performance and confirming the continued efforts of Jordan Customs to develop its services and improve its procedures in line with the economic modernization vision.
