Insurance Premiums Rise by 165 and Compensations by 46 in Jordan

Khaberni - Insurance premiums paid by citizens in the first two months of the current year rose by 16.5%, while the value of compensations paid by companies increased by 4.6% compared to the same period last year, according to Central Bank data.

The value of premiums paid during this period was about 223.2 million dinars, compared to 191.5 million dinars last year, while the value of compensations reached 96.8 million dinars, compared to 92.5 million dinars for the year 2025, according to data tracked by "Al-Mamlaka".

Vehicle insurance accounted for the largest share of the paid premiums in January and February of the current year, amounting to 187.6 million dinars, up from 43.1 million dinars at the same time last year.

In second place came medical insurance, valued at 107.4 million dinars, compared to 89.9 million dinars in the first two months of the year 205.

In terms of compensations, vehicle insurance accounted for about 45.4 million dinars, and medical insurance 38.2 million dinars for the current year, while in the year 2025, it amounted to about 46.6 million dinars for vehicles, and 34.4 million dinars for medical insurance.
