Khaberni - American star Eddie Murphy received the "Lifetime Achievement" award from the "American Film Institute" during a ceremony held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, amidst a wide attendance of some of Hollywood's biggest stars, and with the participation of his family members and colleagues who accompanied him throughout his artistic career.
Murphy, who is 64 years old, said while accepting the award on Saturday evening: "I feel deeply grateful to see my entire family, my children, my beautiful wife, and all the different people I have worked with."
He added: "It's a special moment. I hope you all feel what I feel, and see what I see. I almost cried. I will go backstage to cry."
The audience warmly applauded Murphy before he went on stage to receive the award, as he walked through the hall amidst cheers and continuous applause from the attendees.
